Spring Show 2025

We are thrilled to announce the theme for our upcoming Spring Ice Show: The United Skates of America! This exciting, patriotic-themed show will celebrate our country's rich history and culture through figure skating performances. We encourage all skaters to wear their patriotic colors (red, white, and blue) and skate to songs from our United Skates of America playlist. 

Skaters currently enrolled in classes will participate with their groups at no extra charge. Others may sign up for to perform using the EntryEeze platform via the Blue Edge website. The fee for Soloists and/or Duets is $25, $50 for synchro teams. Additionally, skaters may add their name and song choice to the United Skates of America Performance List. Please make efforts to choose a song that has not already been selected. 

Event Details:

Date: Sunday, April 13th, 2025

Time: 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Location: Quinnipiac University / M&T Arena, 305 Sherman Ave, Hamden, CT

Family and Friends are welcome to attend. There will be a $5 suggested donation at the door to help offset the cost of ice and refreshments provided by the Blue Edge Figure Skating Club.

Performance Information:

Each Basic Skills group will have the opportunity to perform a small routine, showcasing the skills they've been working on throughout the year. Skaters in the Learn to Skate classes will create their group performance as part of their class instruction with their assigned coach. 

In addition to group performances, skaters may create a solo routine to perform during the show.To prepare for a solo/duet routine, skaters are welcome to hire a private coach. Private coaching allows skaters to receive personalized attention and guidance while perfecting their routines for the show. The cost to perform a solo or duet is $25. 

How to Hire a Private Coach:

Parents who are interested in hiring a private coach should contact John Cain, Program Director, or reach out to any of our Blue Edge coaches to discuss availability and coaching fees. They will be happy to help coordinate and guide you through the process of selecting a coach to help your skater create their solo routine.

We can't wait to see all the skaters come together for this patriotic and fun-filled ice show, and we hope to see many solo performances showcasing the hard work and dedication of our talented skaters!
